Coaches Conduct Statement

4th, 5th & 6th Grade FAQ

When will we know what team we are on?
Team assignments will usually be made by August 1st. Players/Parents will receive a team invite from MYFA to join the team site.

When will team sites be activated?
This team sites will be activated when the Head Coach has completed:
 • Mandatory back ground check
 • USA Football Level I Certification

When does practice start?
4th, 5th & 6th Grade practice starts Monday August 13th.

How many pre-season practices are there?
Teams are allowed to practice 5 nights a week for a maximum of 2 hours each. (Pre-Season)

Where and when do teams practice?
Practice sites and times are set by the Head Coach.

Players will be required to complete the following pre-season requirements

  1. Complete 3 practices with helmet only-no contact
  2. Complete 2 practices with full equipment-no contact
  3. Complete 3 practices with full equipment-contact with tackling dummies only

Upon completion of the requirements listed above players will be allowed player to player contact

How many times do they practice after the season starts?
Teams are allowed to practice 3 nights a week for a maximum of 2 hours each. ( In-Season)

Will we have any scrimmage games?
Teams have a mandatory scrimmage during the 4th week of practice. Teams may have more scrimmage games after the season starts.

 
Games

How many games do they play? 
Each team will play 6 scheduled league games. Some teams may play scrimmage games with other teams in the division.

When are the games played? 
Games will be played on Sunday afternoons or evenings and Monday evenings.

Where are the games played? 
Games will be played at 1100 A'Hearn Drive NE or TUMA Sports Complex.

 
Equipment

What will the players be issued?

  1. Helmet*
  2. Chin Strap*
  3. White Integrated Practice Pants
  4. Mouth Guard
  5. Shoulder Pads*
  6. Game Jersey* (handed out by Head Coach after practice starts)

When is equipment issued?

  1. Players in the 4th, 5th & 6th Grade Divisions
  2. Players in the 7th & 8th Grade Divisions

What do players need to provide?

  1. Personal Protective Gear
  2. Athletic Molded Rubber or Plastic Cleats (No Screw on cleats) 4th, 5th & 6th Grade
  3. Athletic Football Cleats of any type-7th & 8th Grade Divisions
  4. Practice Jersey

* Returned to MYFA at the completion of the season.
